Give Back Thursday is a Win-Win for Vero Meal Kits’ Customers and Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition
Want to help out more than 13,000 kids and families? All it takes is ordering some delicious, Italian-inspired food boxes from Vero Meal Kits’ website. On Thursday, May 17, 100 percent of the proceeds (that’s right, 100 percent!) will be donated to Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition for this month’s Give Back Thursday.
The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, which serves thousands of St. Louis area children and families, works to create permanency in foster children’s lives by recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families. The nonprofit provides vulnerable children with safe, nurturing homes and a strong support system for foster and adoptive families.
The organization utilizes powerful recruitment programs to help expedite the foster and adoptive process: Extreme Recruitment®, 30 Days to Family® and A Place to Call Home.
- Extreme Recruitment® focuses on the hardest-to-place children: ages 10-18, special needs or larger sibling groups. The Coalition employs private investigators to locate relatives and place the children in a reduced amount of time.
- Similar to Extreme Recruitment®, 30 Days to Family® focuses on placing the child with relatives within 30 days of entering the foster care system.
- “A Place to Call Home” is KSDK 5 On Your Side’s award-winning, weekly program that features children available for adoption. More than 56 percent of the hundreds of children featured on the program have been placed in an adoptive home.
On Giveback Thursday, you can help this cause just by placing an online order between 6 a.m. and midnight on Thursday, May 17 at www.veromealkits.com. One-hundred percent of the profits from all sales will be donated to the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.
