- 2 lbs. Green Beans
- 2 oz Black Garlic Butter
- 1 Lemon
- 1 oz EVOO
- Sliced Almonds
- 1 Large Sauce Pan
- Large Spoon
- Zester or Grater
PREP & COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES - COOK TIME: 10 MINUTES
STEP 1: Clean green beans and break off ends.
STEP 2: Juice lemon and set aside. (Hint: roll lemon before you juice)
STEP 3: Heat olive oil in sauce pan and add green beans. Salt to taste.
STEP 4: Sauté for 7 to 8 minutes until tender but still bright green. In the last minute add lemon juice and reduce.
STEP 5: Turn off heat and add black garlic butter to pan. Stir until butter is melted.
STEP 6: Add to serving bowl and garnish with almonds.
A great holiday wine is Lambrusco. Most Lambrusco is produced in the Emilia-Romangna region of Italy. Look for a frizzante, which is slightly sparkling. While Lambrusco is red it is light and effervescent and pairs well with holiday meals.
