In this refreshing summer salad the watermelon is paired with traditional Italian flavors; arugula, olives, basil and ricotta salata.
- seedless watermelon
- ricotta salata cheese
- calamata olives (olives may contain pits)
- fresh basil leaves
- balsamic vinaigrette
- chef's knife or serrated knife
- cutting board
PREP and COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES | ASSEMBLE TIME: 5 MINUTESSTEP 1: Slice watermelon into desired slices.
STEP 2: Remove basil leaves from stem. Place arugula into a serving bowl.
STEP 3: Garnish with sliced watermelon, ricotta salata cheese, calamata olives and torn basil.
STEP 4: Dress salad with balsamic vinaigrette. (Shake, stir or whisk before pouring dressing.)
STEP 5: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
STEP 6: Enjoy your salad!
